The article I wrote for British lifestyle magazine Chic Today has finally been published! It's called Mid Century Desert Hideaways and highlights two very impressive and stylish mid century hotels located in Palm Springs, California. You can read the full article and the rest of the magazine through the links below. Since this is the first time my work has been published in a magazine - I would very much like to hear your comments and thoughts!

Ultra Swank takes you back in time into the kitsch, chic and swank living of the 50s, 60s and the 70s. We mainly focus on the design, architecture and the lifestyle of the happy-go-lucky and space-age-living mentality of that era – but also on the music and movies that takes you back to happier times. Ultra Swank is run by Chris, a Swede born in the wrong decade that currently resides in Barcelona. Read more

Seeing its summer and many people are on vacation, here are some lovely photos and brochures from the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California for you to peruse - maybe you and your family are due for another road trip in ye old station wagon? The Hotel was built along the park in 1955 but not operated by Disney until 1988 because the park proved to be to costly to build at the time. For more Disneyland adventures visit our friends at Stuff from the Park and Gorillas Don't Blog.

This house, located in Santiago, Chile was designed by native architect Mathias Klotz Germain and was built for a family with eleven (yes eleven!) daughters. The first floor houses entertainment and social areas, the second floor all of the bedrooms and the top floor includes the kitchen, viewing area and the master bedroom. The base of the construction is made up with concrete and steel and decorated with wood and glass.

It reminds me of the Scandinavian modernism in the 50s and 60s in a way with its raw concrete walls and floor-to-ceiling glass windows - and the view is of course amazing! All that's missing is a few cocktails and some Space Age Lounge music and you are set for quick weekend getaway - anyone else feeling like going with me? (Via)

A while back I was contacted by the lifestyle editor of British lifestyle and fashion magazine Chic Today with regards of joining as a contributor for it. Said and done I gladly accepted and pitched a idea for a article which was accepted and will be published in their next issue titled Tropical Blaze, due at the end of July. I will of course keep you posted exactly when it will published so you can indulge the piece I wrote.
