Ultra Swank is a blog that takes you back in time into the kitsch, chic and swank living of the 1950s to the 1970s. We mainly focus on the design, architecture and the lifestyle of the happy-go-lucky and space-age living mentality from that era. Including; architecture, interior design, furniture, ephemera, books, art, design, advertising, music, events, travel, amazing people like Arne Jacobsen, Mies Van der Rohe, Pierre Koenig, Joseph Eichler, Eero Saarinen and much more.

Behind the Swank

Ultra Swank was initiated by Chris in September 2005 to share his passion for everything retro – whether it is design, music, architecture, movies, photos or product recommendations from an honest and playful eye. Chris, who is a native Swede, shares his time working as a web developer by day and time traveler by night.
